Interview: Alan Rickman not surprised by Potter success
Alan Rickman says he is not surprised at the success of the Harry Potter movies, in which he plays Professor Snape, and that younger fans recognize him “only if I’m in a black wig and a long black coat”.

Lol i recognise him the same way.
I thought younger childred DID recognize him, I mean, how couldn’t you? but we were watching….something…and Alan comes up and about 5 minutes later, I said, “You know that’s the man who plays Snape, right?” and she’s all stunned.
Which is wierd because he doesn’t do much to his appearance for Harry Potter
