Stuntman talks about fight scene in Goblet of Fire

Brazilian newspaper Folha de São Paulo had an interview with capoeira master Ponciano Almeida about his role in the next Harry Potter movie. He says one of his scenes is a fight sequence in Hogwarts.

Harry Potter number two on favorite family film poll

The Harry Potter films came in second in a poll of favorite family films taken by Sky Movies in the UK, topped only the Back to the Future films. The Goonies starring a very young Sean Astin came in third.

Half-Blood Prince audio books available July 16

It has been previously reported that the British version of the audio books for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince would go on sale August 25th. We can now report that the U.S. and Canadian versions narrated by Jim Dale will go on sale July 16, the same day as the book.

Lemony Snicket even more unfortunate on DVD

Seeing Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events in the theatre is a completely different experience than seeing it at home, alone, by yourself in the dark. And Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) as Mr. Poe really accentuates the aloneness.

Interview: Alan Rickman not surprised by Potter success

Alan Rickman says he is not surprised at the success of the Harry Potter movies, in which he plays Professor Snape, and that younger fans recognize him “only if I’m in a black wig and a long black coat”.

Warwick Davis to appear at Disney World

Warwick Davis, who plays Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter films, and was Wicket the Ewok in Star Wars Return of the Jedi, will be appearing at the Star Wars Weekend at Disney World on June 3 through June 5.

Half-Blood Prince price war down-under

The first Australian shots have been fired in a booksellers’ price war. Dymocks Booksellers are taking orders for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at $29.95 ($23.27 in US dollars), 33% below the recommended retail price of $45.

Kenneth Branagh depicts FDR on HBO

Kenneth Branagh, known to Harry Potter fans as Gilderoy Lockhart, stars in Warm Springs on HBO this Saturday. The movie is about the years that FDR spent dealing with his polio, an affliction he kept secret from the country.

J.K. Rowling lives on Earls Terrace in Kensington, west London, the most expensive street in England and Wales, according to a list compiled by Mouseprice.com, where a house goes for an average of $8,166,493.

Potter and Rings stars up for Narnia replacement

According to Narnia Web, Brian Cox, who was also in Troy with Orlando Bloom, is no longer doing the voice of Aslan in The Chronicles of Narnia, and several Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings actors have been mentioned as possible replacements.
